Free Booking App for Barbershops and Hair Salons: Less Waiting, On-Time Clients

Updated

A familiar scene: every waiting chair is taken and the phone is still ringing. Turning some of those walk-ins into on-time appointments keeps the shop calm and saves clients a wasted wait.

Balancing walk-ins and appointments

Many barbershops and salons take both walk-ins and appointments. When bookings live in a paper book or a phone, a rush of walk-ins quickly causes clashes — and every call asking "how long is the wait?" means putting the clippers down.

Services vary a lot in length: a men's cut, color, a perm, a hot-towel shave, a kids' cut. A two-hour color that wasn't booked ahead pushes everyone after it back.

Online booking makes the day predictable

Keep cutting — let the AI assistant handle bookings

Open the AI assistant in your Nuvoca dashboard, tap the mic and say:

It looks things up and drafts changes, and nothing takes effect until you tap "Confirm". It understands English and Chinese.

For every kind of shop and client

Both the owner dashboard and the client booking page come in English and Chinese. A client whose phone is set to English sees the English page; Chinese-speaking regulars see Chinese.

FAQ

Can I still take walk-ins?

Of course. Online bookings only use the times that are booked. You can also block off time from the dashboard or through the AI assistant to keep it free for walk-ins.

Does it work for a one-chair shop and a multi-barber shop?

Yes. Online booking currently schedules by your shop's hours and service lengths. Clients can name a barber in the booking note, and you can record the barber on any appointment.

How long does setup take, and what does it cost?

A few minutes, with no monthly fee. Only the AI voice receptionist for phone calls is paid, and you can decide on that later.
